Dicky Dooradi

Senior Director of Program Management

Dicky Dooradi is the Senior Director of Program Management for Democracy International. He is responsible for overseeing the implementation of DI’s overseas programs including management of headquarters-based program staff and providing technical and managerial guidance to DI’s overseas staff. Mr. Dooradi also designed and manages DI’s e-Oasys, a web-based operations and accounting system for DI’s field offices. He has two decades of experience in various development projects around the world. He has a background in civic engagement, electoral assistance, political parties and political processes, public policy development, legislative strengthening, public opinion research and strategy, and program monitoring and evaluation.

Mr. Dooradi joined DI in 2009 as Chief of Party for a USAID-funded Research Development Project in East Timor. From 2012 to 2014, Mr. Dooradi served as Director of Research and Deputy Chief of Party for DI’s Democratic Participation Program in Bangladesh, where he conducted a series of public opinion surveys, supported media monitoring efforts, and assisted political parties with research and training. Mr. Dooradi also developed an SMS-based application for DI’s election observation missions and data collection work. In 2014, Mr. Dooradi was working with the Asia Foundation, serving as Team Leader and Chief of Party for Support for Good Public Policy Program in East Timor, and he rejoined DI in 2015. He has additionally worked with various international organizations such as USAID, RTI, the International Republican Institute, and the Australian Election Commission.

Mr. Dooradi received a B.A. in Sociology and an M.A. in Marketing Communications from the Unitersity of Indonesia. He is a native Indonesian speaker and speaks fluent English and basic Tetum, Javanese, and Sundanese dialects.
