Project Description
The Support for Transitional Justice Program, implemented by Democracy International with funding from the United States Department of State, aims to enhance the capability and support for transitional justice in The Gambia. Through the program, DI will support the expansion of personnel capabilities to investigate, prosecute, and adjudicate complex system crimes while streamlining evidence preparation. DI will also support outreach initiatives by The Gambia’s Ministry of Justice and The Gambia Bar Association to engage with the public. Lastly, DI aims to contribute to developing transitional justice mechanisms focused on accountability.
