U.S. Department of State
Democracy International has regularly worked with the U.S. Department of State to help achieve its mission to shape and sustain a peaceful, prosperous, just, and democratic world and foster conditions for stability and progress for the benefit of the American people and people everywhere, a mission it shares with USAID. Democracy International has worked for the U.S. Department of State in a variety of countries and regions central to America’s security and foreign policy.

U.K. Department for International Development
The Department for International Development (DFID) leads the United Kingdom’s work to end extreme poverty by creating jobs, unlocking the potential of girls and women, and helping to save lives when humanitarian emergencies strike. Democracy International has partnered with DFID since 2011 in countries facing critical democratic development challenges, such as Bangladesh.
The European Union combines different types of support to countries in need. It provides funding in the form of grants to support projects and organizations furthering its development objectives. Under the auspices of the European Commission, the EuropeAid Cooperation Office has in place framework contracts to facilitate the implementation of the external aid. Democracy International has worked to support key European Commission partners under Framework Contracts since 2013.

U.S. Agency for International Development
Democracy International is proud to support the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the lead U.S. Government agency working to end extreme global poverty and enable resilient, democratic societies to realize their potential. Democracy International has been a partner of the Agency since 2003, completing more than 100 projects, from small program assessments to large-scale implementation projects. DI serves as a prime holder of numerous contracting mechanisms with USAID through which USAID/Washington and USAID Missions can access DI’s services.
